We recently went to a mini-greek festival. Apparently there’s a really huge greek festival in the summer, but we heard about the mini greek one here in November. It’s at the local greek orthodox church. They were selling food–good food!–and had dancers, real greek people, the whole enchilada. Or maybe I should say the whole baklava. Anyway… the baklava actually was amazing.
So we went and got some food (pictures below), and saw some dancers (wait for the video), and also chatted with the people at our table. They were greek orthodox church going types. Really fun people. Anyway, one of them said, “the greeks have a saying…” and so we just had to make a little video of it. For those of you who haven’t seen “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” the greek parents in the movie are always saying, “the greeks have a saying.” It made us laugh. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video as much as we did. Too bad you can’t enjoy the food like we did though. It was the best baklava I’ve ever had, and I don’t even like baklava.

Glad you got to have some good baklava! I don’t like it either, but maybe I would if I had some made by real Greek people.
I jealous. When did you say the big festival is in the summer. We’ll come visit. Make more videos.
