The Tingens

Sometimes

Sometimes there are things to do but you don’t feel like doing them, so you make a new blog post instead. Sometimes your husband is at a meeting so you sit on the bed still wearing his jacket from when you went back outside to get your phone that you left in the car, and sitting there on the bed you write a new blog post.

And what to post about?

Work, Primary, maybe the fact that your boss just called and confirmed that you definitely have Thanksgiving off WOOHOO!

I’m really liking this Primary calling, although after the first sharing time we did Sister Cabas and I a couple weeks ago, I wasn’t so sure. It’s hard figuring out how to teach kids. The what part is easy: teach them the gospel of course! It’s the how that’s the tricky part. How do you show them you love them and instill the principles in their hearts and keep them engaged in the learning, all within 15 minutes? I was always good at the whipping-out-scriptures and the getting-the-doctrine-down, but I’m not so good at the making-it-kid-friendly. Good thing we have manuals and other Primary leaders and The Friend.
