The Tingens

Hispanic Weddings are the Best

Another couple got married recently in our branch so that they can get baptized. We had the opportunity to meet and chat with the happy couple the night before the wedding. They’re very cool and very converted. They told us about how they’ve read all of Alma (that was an accident actually. The sister missionaries had only assigned them Alma 40, but they thought it was all of Alma). They also told us about how they want to go to the temple and get sealed. Really great people.

Anyway, at the wedding everybody was dancing. Spanish weddings are like that. In fact, most of our branch activities are like that. So Tonya and I got up and danced for awhile–I guess we’re getting used to it. Anyway, later I was talking to one of the hermanos in the branch, and he complemented me and Tonya on how much our dancing has improved! Viva los Tingens! We can dance now… sort of.

Anyway, I got a kick out of the fact that he told us we were much better dancers now. We also made a video for this post. Stick around on the video long enough for the bouquet toss. It’s pretty funny and it’s worth it. Hope you enjoy it.

  1. I think dollar dances are fun too, except it’s nice to have someone collecting the money for you instead. I’m glad you guys are getting better at dancing, and it’s so funny that someone complimented you on your “improvement!” I didn’t get to see the video because it’s private.

  2. The video doesn’t work. I don’t have permission. Looks like a fun time though. Congrats to the couple!

  3. Am I supposed to print out the photo and staple them together and then flip through them real fast to get the video?
