I have the best job in the world! I love teaching piano! I only teach 3 students on Tuesdays–today was the first day for the youngest–but it’s definitely a highlight of the week having them come over to show how much they’ve progressed. Tonight I was just so thrilled with our lessons that I had to share about it.
I love how excited they are to show what they’ve practiced, I love how quickly they are learning new things, I love how determined they are to make me proud and get their stuff down right. They are so amazing!

Cool! I didn’t know you played piano. Or even owned one. I want my boys to take piano when they’re old enough. I hope they like it as much as your students!
My mission president’s wife taught piano lessons to make the family money while my president was in business school. I totally thought the other day, when I saw your piano again, that you could totally do that while Jacob is in law school! I’m glad you enjoy it so much!
You’re going to videotape a recital so we can see them play, right?
mwahaha I have several videos of their progress, but I definitely think I will have a recital for them as well 🙂
