Haha, Friday was my last day of full-time work and I am so excited; I feel like now I will have time to finally pull things together before Natalie is born. Work has generally been pretty good these last few months – ironic how it’s time to leave now that I’m finally used to it. C’est la vie. That’s how it always was on my mission as well; as soon as I felt like I was getting the hang of things, transfers struck again! I think that’s how the Lord keeps us continually learning throughout life: He never lets us stay too long and get too complacent in one stage of life. Always keeping us on our toes!
So Blair and the others threw a nice baby shower during lunch break on Friday, including a bottle-drinking game between two of the doctors! Very humorous.
Also, on Friday Jacob had an interview for an internship at a local law practice of insurance subrogation (sounds very invigorating) and he has another one scheduled on Wednesday with Carmax…we’re praying for the best!

How exciting that you’re now a stay-at-home mom (even though the baby’s not quite here yet)! That’s nice to have some time for the final preparations. I hope all goes well. When is your due date?
Congratulations on being done with work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best of luck with the interviews Jacob!
Congrats on being done with work! I bet you’re excited to be done being pregnant soon, too! 🙂 Have fun with your last minute preparations. Good luck, J, with your internship interviews. I hope you get a good one!
Yay yay yay!!! That’s how it was for me too–I felt like work was pretty good right when it was time to leave. Have fun getting everything ready, and take some time to relax too! We’re praying Jacob’s interviews go well.
That last comment was from me. 🙂
Coolness! Good thing you didn’t extend a week:-)
What is the drinking game those doctors played? Was it planned?
Haha, yes it was planned; I’ve actually seen it at two baby showers now. The point, I guess, is to see who can drink from a baby bottle the fastest? Don’t know who came up with that one, but it’s pretty funny.
