It’s been awhile since we’ve posted because A) we’ve been busy and out of town, B) we didn’t have internet for a week and a half, and C) we have been moving to a new place for a couple weeks.Â So a lot has happened and here’s some of it:

Fourth of July
Cub Scout camp
Trip to Philly in July
Birthday beach trip
Trip to Utah in August

hiking Stewart Falls in Utah (sorry these pictures are in no particular order)

some of us climbed around to the top of the Grotto waterfall

I convinced Jacob (and myself) to run under the waterfall

it was very quick because it was very cold!!

random shot from chaperoning at Cub Scout camp (that was the week I got the flat tire)

ward fourth of july party…yay three-legged race

walking around the block to lunch on July Fourth before the Richmond Kickers soccer game

it was way too hot so we left at half time

it started raining on the Fourth so we played the good old American game of Monopoly.

Natalie was winning for a lot of the game

but then with a twist of fate she went bankrupt

our daughter is so happy to be patriotic

trip to Philly, Natalie’s first time at the library

awesome (and also famous) Philly burger place

Jenny and I took Natalie and went for a pedicure while Jacob and Brent were on campus and Julia was at playgroup

the depiction on the wall is of the short story Jacob wrote for my birthday. It’s my favorite thing he’s ever written! (besides maybe the letters he wrote on my mission)

we went to Virginia Beach on my birthday

don’t let her fool you–she didn’t really help build the sandcastle

she was fine the whole time until it was time to change her diaper. Something about sand rubbing against her while we took off the onesie just set her off…big time. Pouring a bucket of ocean water down her naked body to clean off the sand didn’t help. And it got us a bunch of judgmental looks. We left 🙂

Natalie was awesome on the plane rides to and from Utah. This is her first plane trip

Earlier on the way up to Heidi and Eric’s ward campout, there was a Watch for Cows sign. We thought, cows in the mountains? Naw.

old friends getting together is always fun

fixing the phone line under the house. He looks like he’s having way too much fun

we can’t take a trip to Utah without playing badminton!

back to the Stewart Falls hike of earlier

she rolled over in Utah and started sleeping through the night! The Utah air must be good for her!

the lovely new fountains south of campus. we took a tour taking pictures of campus one day

jimmer has his own section in the bookstore!

the room in the tanner building where Jacob saw me for the first time (I didn’t see him)

Brandon was just a bitty baby when we saw him last

toured the really cool new BYU broadcasting building

one of the waiting rooms for prestigious guests/talents

the Lovey Dovey Land banquet at Heidi and Eric’s cottage estates (Heidi did the mural!)

Wow, Tonya a lot has happened. I love your new place and impressed by how fast you moved in, considering I just finished decorating our house last week and we’ve been there for 6 months. Also, I’m glad you guys have been travelling lots. It makes me miss the east coast. And Natalie is adorable. And that is super sad that we were in Utah at the same time and didn’t know it. That would have been lots of fun to hang out.
