While we were at the hospital people came in and out of our room constantly. They’d come in and announce themselves–“Nurse” “Doctor” “Lactation Consultant.”
Well, our room had gotten reasonably quiet at one point when the door opened.
“Photographer.”
Photographer?
Turns out the hospital contracts with this photographer to take baby photos. While we’re all about taking photos of Natalie, we thought it was a little unusual to have someone announce themselves “Photographer” with the same tone someone says “Nurse.”
Anyway, the photographer said that they sometimes come in and take photos of the babies, etc. They put the babies at the foot of the hospital bed and have a few props and so on.
Does it cost? Yes.
No, the insurance didn’t cover it. In the end we decided to opt out of the photos.
But later we thought, why not do our own photo shoot. Here are the pictures.
