So Natalie has exploded! She is a walking talker! Good thing, because she’s 18 months old 🙂
Words:
- toe (if you ask her where her toes are, she’ll hold up her feet and say toe! she’s also recently learned about her belly)
- shoe
- spoon “boo”
- Mama, Daddy
- Oh wow!
- Oh no!
- no (unfortunately)
- thank you “tay-too”
- bubble
- baby (thanks to Aiden)
- Jesus “she-she”
- Here you go (actually sounds exactly like that, very well enunciated)
- dog
- cow
- moo
- baa
- meow “mow”
- turtle “tay-tay”
- penguin “pay-pay”
- whale “way-ol”
- duck/quack “gawk”
- book “bok”
Favorite things:
- Â blanket
- having us read to her. ALL DAY. Some favorite books are The Pout Pout Fish–she calls it “pout-pout,” Noah’s ark, any animal books, sesame street books, etc etc
- being chased–she laughs hysterically and “runs” away
- animals–we got little plastic animal figurines and a little treasure chest for them, and she goes straight for those every day. Those or the books. Or both. She loves dogs (not too up close) and will keep barking enthusiastically every time she sees or hears one
- going on walks (she’s in stroller), going to park
- trying on shoes
- latches, e.g. she could spend hours trying to latch and unlatch a bike helmet. Or a cookie monster necklace.
She’s got awesome dance moves
She’s got high fives, fist bumps and a congratulations handshake down pretty good
She’s been having a great time in nursery at church for the past few weeks
I love going to get her from her crib in the mornings. She stands up, holds her blanket up to be taken with her, and just babbles away in such a good mood. She’s such a cutie pie and we love her so much! We’re now entering the stage of disciplining and teaching behaviors; I’m sure we’ll be asking for lots of advice…

Which item do I comment on first…?
I’m just chuckling at your mannequin poses. Oh wow, that’s great. And Jacob as the check list HT. That has become a common phrase in our ward lately too.
Kudos to Heidi and Eric for winning the best-tasting dessert award too.
But, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!
NO FAIR………!!!!!!!!!!
Natalie has hit an age stage explosion, right after I left. Man, she is taking off and blossoming. I love her sense of wonderment and interest in exploring. Always must use her hands. A creative idea for the animals too since she loves taking things out and in of containers.
Love her little ponytail hairstyle too.
Natalie is full of glee,
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thanks for sharing
Crazy how much she has been able to learn in such a short time.
Can’t wait to see the explosion in person this weekend!
Wow, nifty Natalie!!!
And so many other fun things! Thank you for all the pics and stories. Very fun!
Natalie has grown up so much. And, Tonya, you are such a cute pregnant lady. 🙂
