We haven’t been up to too much lately, but we thought we’d post pictures of our recent trip to Mount Vernon–we went during Jacob’s spring break. And then, the weather has been so beautiful lately we spent some time outside and letting Natalie get accustomed to crawling around on the grass. She didn’t really care for that part.

So here is where we met George and Martha. I hadn’t known a medusa had come to Mt. Vernon to preserve them…bad joke I know…

Wait, Martha Washington’s alive? She sang this really awesome song to Natalie. Seriously though, this actress was probably the highlight of the Mt. Vernon experience. Very cool stories about the Washingtons from her.

Fun stroller time!

This is further down on the trail leading away from the mansion house. There was this gazebo, port-like area that was nice.

I think this was where they had some farm animals, sheep, and even some piglets

This is later the next week when we went to the park. All these people kept showing up with their dogs and Natalie kept crawling over to them.

Okay, there’s a story here. We decided to celebrate pie day at the last minute, so we went and bought a pie, and we ate pie and a pizza pie for dinner. I like pie day 🙂

Natalie was hiding this water gun. She totally surprised us and got us all wet.

We took Natalie to the park on this one super sunny and marvelous day and we set her down on the fresh green grass. But she really didn’t like having her feet on the grass. She stayed on the blanket and our little mat the whole time. She mainly played with little pieces of straw and sat there enjoying being outside and observing everyone as they passed by and commented on how cute she was.

We don’t really like sunshine that much 😉 If you look closely at Jacob’s sunglasses you can see Tonya’s arm holding the camera reflecting off the sunglasses.

terribly ugly bug that Tonya found after raking leaves in our yard. They’re everywhere outside, and so we’ve determined never to go outside while barefoot. They’re kind of disgusting.

How does little Natalie hide a water gun that is as big as her head? She does look very cute in her sun hat. And I love the picture at the park with Jacob, Natalie, the nice man, and his dog.

What’s with the lockout on the videos?:-) “This video is private”. I guess I know where I stand:-)

Cool pics! I think that creepy crawler is kind of cool, but definitely wouldn’t want to step on it.
