Yay we’ve finally posted. This basically includes Christmas and then our trip to Philly, which included a trip to the DC temple and visitors center, a day in New York, our 3-year anniversary, New Years Eve and New Years Day, and the Please Touch Museum. We also loved spending a lot of time relaxing (I finished a book–Alloy of Law, thank you Holly!) and playing games (Dominion and Qwirkle are new on the list of must-haves!) and talking.

Jacob has finished his first week of his last semester and I have started a new semester of teaching piano to 8 students. Natalie is still the bomb!

I love the new page on lds.org that allows to you see where the Apostles have been and what they’ve been teaching around the world. How cool to be part of a worldwide church with unified doctrine! And how cool to be led by prophets and apostles!

we saw our first Tacky Lights house! we only found it because of the giant tree we could see from the main road

Richmond’s thing during Christmas is the Tacky Lights tour

some people just decide to decorate their houses like crazy

they’re even listed online at Richmond.com

they even had cones set up marking a walkway (since there are no sidewalks), and cars were lined up to see it

I love all the Nativities at the visitors center

I love how there are so many different interpretations of the same event

but they’re still depicting the same thing: our dear Savior’s birth

I thought the real photos was very original

we tried these shellfish for the first time for our anniversary dinner at Pietro’s in Philly

most of the stuff at the museum was for toddlers and bigger kids, but Natalie banged on the drums and stuff a bit

too bad it’s blurry but these are cool blue things on display

That was my firm office right behind the Apple store. In the same building as FAO Schwartz.

We had so much fun!!! Thanks for letting us stay in Philly, Brent, Jenny, and Julia. We couldn’t have done it without you 😉
