The Tingens

The real first snowfall

It’s been so long since we posted the last one that I decided just to make a new post instead of editing the old one.

So Jacob’s birthday was on Monday…Happy Birthday! Every year I’m so excited to celebrate his specialest special day, and every day I’m so glad I’m married to the love of my life!

  1. That’s quite a variety show. Ha, we got snow like that this week too. It’s supposed to be the coming of spring. Glad Jacob enjoyed his birthday celebrations and Natalie could participate. Cute of how you managed to get Jacob and Natalie’s expressions in sync!
Oh, I checked your dad’s baby book, since it’s birthday season, and guess what! He only weighed 15 pounds at a year old too!!!

  2. No, I have to comment on Natalie’s cute toes that circle as she sits. That is very unique.
AND< that dressed up vacuum is very clever. How did you ever come up with that one?
And man, I would have screamed meeting one of those characters early in the morning, in the dark!

  3. So Jacob is a vacuum with swim noodles, what are you made out of? Is it an ironing board with pillows? You have to tell the long story!

    1. I am made of the old piano stand and a blanket with hangers 🙂 The long story is, after Jacob went to bed I got up and put up birthday decorations. Then I thought, I’ll tidy up. There was an empty milk jug on the counter that I was going to throw away, but then I thought, haha! I could put Jacob’s face on this and do some fun birthday decoration with it. Then the face turned into the whole person, then I thought, I can’t just have a random statue of Jacob. So I made the one of me saying My hero!
The hardest part was getting the heads to not flop around; Jacob’s head I switched onto a water bottle being held up by a broom and my head is on the milk jug held up by another broom 🙂

        1. Ha ha ha! This is a good story, and much longer than I thought. Way to create something spur of the moment!

  4. Brilliant – like everyone else who’s commented, I think the Tonya and Jacob statues are clever and brilliant. Happy Birthday Jacob!

  5. Awesome pics! Outstanding stories! I keep thinking that the cutest pictures of Natalie have been taken, but then you post new ones. I love the one with her and her blue tiara.

    thanks for sharing!
