Happy 4th! and Catch Up

Happy Fourth of July! We’re proud to be Americans and we hope our country can make the founding fathers proud. Natalie has really gotten into the American flag after we taught her the primary song “My country’s flag;” now she shouts “my country’s flag! Look, there it is!” whenever we see one. It’s cute 🙂

I meant to divide all the pictures into separate blog posts, but after you upload them it’s apparently tricky to divide the gallery, so here’s a giant picture blurt in no particular order (another thing that’s tricky to change since the pictures came from different sources)–it includes the Fourth, an afternoon at Belle Isle, trips to the park, our first family vacation EVER which was to Virginia Beach, and other random things like my haircut and a disemboweled camera.

My favorite thing about when we first got to the beach…we’re walking towards it on the boardwalk and see the sand for the first time. We’re like, Look, Natalie the beach! There it is! But all she sees is the helicopter overhead and shouts, “The helicopter! There it is! We found it!” I’m so glad we found the helicopter.

  1. Wow, so many great adventures and stories! Thanks for all the pics and captions! I really like that you checked out the drowned camera. Very fun! Very curious!

And I like Hazel’s hair too:-)

  2. This is by far a real scrapbook entry. Man, you’ve captured such a variety of everything in your family’s life, it seems.
Thank you for such a show. I do have to laugh, ooh and aaahhhhh, say how cute, and the whole bag full of expressions.
Way to go for creating such adventures and moments.
