The Tingens

National Zoo

Well it was lovely to have Grandma back east for a couple weeks. After a bit staying with the Philly Showalters, she drove with Brent and Julia down to DC and we all had a giant rendezvous at the National Zoo (them, our family, and Heidi and Aiden).

It was so incredibly HOT and HUMID! If we were popsicles we would’ve melted within 10 seconds of getting out of the car. But luckily we are people and enjoyed about 4 hours looking at animals–in as many indoor exhibits as possible. 🙂

  1. Confirm that I am not a spammer? How can I do that when the screen won’t move down far enough for me to click the button so that my comment can print?
So Here goes on the fourth try!!!!!>>>>>>>>>

    I will not lie,
    on this my fourth try,
who can even remember what pithy thing I said on the first round?? Oh well, I did wonder who gave permission to print these melting mugs? And what about the prints of the hiding animals that scampered away?
It’s pretending to be autumn here but it is too hot as well to have it be so. I’m glad that we were able to ride the carousel and have some indoor animals to view as well. And thank heavens for the misters.
