So one day this week Natalie and I are looking at pictures in the Gospel Art Book. We get to the picture of Noah and the ark.
me: Look, Natalie, it’s Noah! Noah with the animals in the boat! Yeah, it’s Noah. Who’s that, Natalie?
Natalie: Santa!
Another day we’re at the table eating lunch. I look over and Natalie is waving her apple around the same way like when she’s making a toy bird fly or a toy sea animal swim.
me: Oh, is that a flying apple?
Natalie, emphatically confirming: Apple, flying!
Also, Natalie’s really good at helping us with Hazel. “Hazel, sheeping! (sleeping)” “Hazel, eating!” “Hazel, sad!” “Hazel, hungy!” “Pacifier, fall down!” (I loved it when she called the pacifier a “fire,” but now she says the whole word) “Hazel, baket! (blanket)”
Sometimes it’s a task to make sure she doesn’t squash Hazel or maul her or poke her eye out, but she loves Hazel and likes to make sure she’s taken care of.

I love the Santa-Noah comparison. 🙂
Can I take a ride in the flying apple? It’d taste way better than the cookies they hand out.
Very fun! Thanks!
