A really long catch up post with pictures

So we haven’t posted much to the blog in a while, but we thought we’d try and fix that by going ahead and putting on EVERYTHING we haven’t posted over the past three months. There are a couple of other pictures we’ll be adding in some later posts, and some additional captions to add to these pictures, but in the meantime, we hope you like catching up with us.

I have no idea what this–maybe a playdoh piano. You’ll have to ask Tonya 😉

On the plane to Utah

We had Jenny down in Richmond for a couple of days with Julia. It was a blast!

Bruisters gives free ice cream if you’re short enough

We tried to take pictures when we got home the Sunday Jenny and Julia were with us.

This is from Natalie’s purple star birthday, when she celebrated being nine apparently. At least, she kept telling us she was turning nine, so Tonya got this candle for her.

We went to this birthday party for a friend of Natalie’s at the Children’s museum. This is on the sidewalk outside the children’s museum

The “sandbox” inside the museum. It’s not really a museum so much as a huge indoor play area.

We got this slide for our girls. By far the best purchase we have ever made in the toy department–they actually play with it!

We went to a Flying Squirrels game–Richmond’s baseball team.

We even got peanuts and cracker jacks!

Here’s that slide again, but there’s another story…

All this white stuff is oatmeal. Our children have a tendency to take the oatmeal out and spread it all over the place.

Then when we had the girls cleaning up the oatmeal, Natalie wanted to preserve it by putting it into these “bags” made from her hats. We each had a bag of our own by the end of the cleanup.

Tonya went to the beach with Heidi recently. I’ll let her fill in the captions on these pictures, but I’m sure they are just as good to look at now.

Our Cowgirl

Natalie’s baby…which used to be Hazel’s baby until Natalie appropriated it. Now Natalie’s baby is Hazel’s baby–it’s tough to keep up with child logic sometimes…

This is in the Air and Space Museum in DC. My brother Warren and his family were hanging in DC for an entire week, so we went up one day to hang out with them.

They had this one display about flight stewardesses in the 50s, and these little blocks describe what qualifications fit the bill.

Tonya wouldn’t qualify as a flight stewardess in the 50s because it says “Just below Hollywood” standards and she’s a cut above, so…My $.02

There were these displays in the area where they try to convince you that Pluto isn’t a planet anymore…anyway, Natalie and hazel started to crawl in the tiny spots between these displays

That’s Savannah, my brother’s oldest daughter. She and Natalie loved hanging out.

A bird decided to make a nest in this folding chair on our porch. We decided not to disturb it

So…I didn’t take this picture, but this is a non CGI pic–it’s totally real, and its from some tornadoe chasers who posted it online. But, it looks the cover of the Way of Kings, right?

  Yes, I am finally writing my reply. I know I have started looking at your blog a few times, but I made it through this time. Such a variety of photos and of events. It’s fun to see the happiness that simplicities in life bring children.!!!!!!! Their imaginations can keep them busy for hours at times. And I hope it is fun to see them together as playmates (most of the time).
