Something about having three kids makes updating the blog less of a priority i.e. no time for it! But since Jacob is out camping and the kids (all three!) are sleeping, here goes a quick rundown since… November???

Anyway, having three kids is good. I’d say it’s been easier going from 2 to 3 than from 1 to 2, because Natalie and Hazel already play together a lot so they’re not clamoring for my attention all the time when I am trying to take care of Tyrus. They’re also very helpful 🙂 I’d say that maybe once a week I have a day when I want to pull my hair out and run away (or maybe just keep my hair and run away), but on the whole, I am loving this new family dynamic! And on a personal note, I must say it is so much better than being pregnant! So much more energy, despite sleep deprivation, and just not as rundown and cranky anymore. I’m glad to be back to me!

And we love having Tyrus here! He is such a chill baby, and he is just starting to smile for real. He cries when he wants to eat and I’m being slow, obviously, since he’s a baby, but also he’s very patient: as soon as I come to him he stops crying and patiently waits as I pick him up and take a couple minutes to get settled. For a couple weeks there he was throwing us a curveball staying up so much at night, but I think he’s settling in to normal people schedule.

And oh boy we have a boy, we’ll see where that takes us in a few months when his personality starts showing through…I’m so excited!

It got down to 0 degrees here in Richmond! I just had to bundle up and take advantage of this record weather by going on a walk. So cold! But strangely I was so excited to be out in it! Then before we got home Natalie got all excited about the idea of putting on her own running outfit and going running herself. That is a colossal effort to upload all of those photos. It is a great way to record events as well. I can’t believe how much all of the kids have grown. Your family seems pretty happy, silly and just loving life each day. That is one of the best ways to enjoy it before they start school and grow up on you.
