The Tingens

Panaria

There’s a little cafe restaurant on the way to school (and, I suppose, on the way back as well). On the first day of school for Hazel and Grace we decided we would stop there and get breakfast kind of as a send off to their new grand adventure. They have some pastries (donuts and croissants), smoothies, milkshakes, and other breakfast foods. It’s on the street just around the corner from the bull-fighting ring, and if not for some scaffolding that was put up to fix the streets and the building above it, it would have a fantastic view.

It has now become a favorite place.

Most days we don’t have time to eat at Panaria on the way to school. But everyday on the way back from school I inevitably get the question, “Can we stop at Panaria?”

If I say Panaria with an American “R,” Grace will correct me and tell me that it’s not Panaria, but it’s P-A-N-A-R(dee)-I-A.

School for Natalie is a 7 to 10 minute walk–the school is on the street across from the other side of the bull-fighting ring.

School for Hazel and Tyrus and Grace is a 20 minute walk, but we go by Natalie’s school every day.

Tonya has started her job (at Natalie’s school), and I’ve found an office close by that I’ve had fixed up a bit as I get started doing some U.S.-based work from there.

We’re finally settled, or at least pretty darn close. So for now, it looks like the fun part of being in Europe is just around the corner, starting at Panaria.
