Apparently there are some beautiful almond and cherry blossoms this time of year in different areas of the country, mostly southern Spain and Cataluña. But there is a park in Madrid, Quinta de los Molinos, that has an orchard of almond trees, and we got word that they were holding a little festival last weekend and that the blooming was early this year so we decided to head over.
What a lovely sight, a beautiful day, and a relaxing time!
There is also a patch of olive trees in that orchard, which was very fitting for us because the next day our family was going to read Jacob chapter 5 in the Book of Mormon, the allegory of the olive tree.
